Begonias are, without a doubt, the most amazing group of indoor plants! There are so many different colors and types. Within each type there can be dozens of varieties!
Nothing beats begonias for adding a dramatic splash of color to your windowsill or coffee table. In the garden, they brighten those dark shady spots.
There are several types of begonias: tuberous begonias (the ones with large flowers),
semperflorens begonias (the wax type), rex begonias (showboats and king of the begonia world),
rhizomatus begonias (interesting leaves and flowers), among others.
To learn more about begonias, visit our
begonia

Below you can find the begonias we currently offer. All of
them come in a 3" pot and are young, well rooted and well established
plants that within a couple of months can fill out a 6" pot.
We will be adding more rex begonias soon, so visit
us often.
This great begonia brings back the frontier days spirit of the 1800s in Denver. Women waltzed the streets in their Victorian best, white lace over dark dresses. GAC Begonia Denver Lace has vigorous large leaves, yet is delicate in overall appearance.

The Iron Cross Begonia gets its name from the cross shape that appears on each of its broad leaves. The begonia and its relatives make superb foliage plants which are lovely as well as durable. The Iron Cross Begonia produces delicate pink and green blossoms in spring, but the flowers are insignificant compared to the foliage.

Tough, bright and strong! Little Red is just that. Only grows about 6" tall, and shouts its presence with vibrant red leaf color. Striking when placed in white pots. Adds life to collections of green plants.
|

Dark Pink with Partial Leaf Curl. Taurus is the Bull of the Series, and muscles its way in with very dark pink color, large 8-9" leaves, and a curled "horn" at one leaf lobe as the plant matures. Three vibrant rings of color mark each leaf. The center is deep pink to red. The middle zone is paint-splashed white over green.
|
Very Dark Pink with Extreme Leaf Curl. The bands of color visually accentuate the spiral leaf curl. Leaves can grow very large as well, 8" or more in length. The dark pink centers are surrounded by a distinct band of silver-white paint splashing, 1 ½" wide.
|
Pink, a good pink is largely absent from the Rex Begonia group. This guava pink is a good start. Great vigor, it makes especially nice hanging baskets with its long leaf petioles, and long pointed leaves.
|
Imagine a warm desert night below the Sandia Mountains of New Mexico. The rose light of sunset has just past, and the sky has turned purple indigo. The closer you look the more white lights you see. The rich colors and paint splatter field of white spots of 'Albuquerque Midnight Sky' reflects this moment.
|
Cool moist Seattle is an ideal place for most Begonias. 'Seattle Twist' brings this vigorous look to the rest of us. This plant is a corkscrew type, with a pronounced twist at the center of most leaves. The colors are muted and pleasing, soft pink, silver, and green, bright enough to bring sunshine to a cloudy rainy day.
|
Libra is the brightest pink in the Constellation Series with no leaf curl. Similar to the other varieties, it bears triple zones of color on each leaf. Leaves are medium sized, 5-7" in length. The center patch is light pink. An irregular ¼" zone of white separates the solid pink from the star splashed field of silver-white over green.

You can taste the chocolate syrup as you see the brown field of leaf color surround the cherry pink spots on the leaves. This plant is dramatic and draws comments wherever it is used. Used in all black combinations, or with lime green foliage, the contrast stuns all who see it.
